Trash must be sorted into the following groups:

Residual waste (Danish: Restaffald): Whatever cannot be sorted into another category
Bottle deposit (Danish: Pant)
Directions to local recycling station for plastic, paper, glass and metal. It's easy to miss if you don't know where it is.
The organic and the residual waste is discarded in the bins at the end of the driveway, with the organic waste disposed of in special green bags, and the residual waste disposed of in black bags or leftover shopping bags. Please note that, counterintuitively, the green bags go in the black bin and the residual waste goes into the green bin.
The plastic, food & beverage cartons, paper, cardboard, glass, and metal is discarded in bins at the local recycling station, a 400 meter walk or drive, right next to the camping resort, although slightly hidden from the street. See map above for directions.
Finally, the bottles with the bottle deposit symbols on them are returned at any supermarket in Otterup or anywhere else in Denmark.
Residual waste is thrown into any plastic bag and then discarded in the green 600 liter bin at the end of the driveway.
Organic waste is thrown into special purpose green bags which are then discarded in the dark 240 liter bin at the end of the driveway.
Plastic and food & beverage cartons can be thrown into one of the compartments in the trash sorting station by the entrance. Once the bag is full, you can throw it into the large bin outside the front door. Once that is full, you can take the bag to the local recycling station 400 meters away, see map at the top of this page.
Paper and cardboard can be thrown into one of the compartments in the trash sorting station by the entrance. Once the bag is full, you can throw it into the large bin outside the front door. Once that is full, you can take the bag to the local recycling station 400 meters away, see map at the top of this page.
